Photo of the ID.
Contract ready in 4 seconds.

Forget typing "Mª del Carmen García-Hernández-Pérez". The counter staff take a photo of the ID and the contract comes out with first name, surnames, number, date of birth and expiry date already filled in. Works with the DNI, NIE, Spanish passport and driving licence.

Supported document types

Spanish DNI

Universal MRZ reading — works with most countries.

Driving licence

Spanish and European. Detects categories and expiry date.

Why does it matter?

Every new customer means 90 seconds of typing in data. With OCR, it takes 4. In summer, when 60 contracts come in a day, that's 86 minutes a day. 43 hours a month. A full working day every week, won back.

And typing errors (a wrong digit in the DNI, a swapped letter) disappear. Your customer database stays clean.

Frequently asked questions

Which plan includes it?

Document OCR available from the Pro plan. You need your own Mindee API key (free plans up to 250 documents/month).

What happens if the OCR fails?

The counter staff fill it in by hand, as usual. It doesn't block the workflow. And it normally only fails if the photo is blurry or has glare.

Is it GDPR compliant?

Yes. Images are processed only to extract data. They are not stored at Mindee. You decide whether or not to keep the image in your customer file.

Can the customer do it from their own portal?

Yes. If you enable the customer portal, customers upload photos from their phone and the data reaches the management system already extracted.

The legal texts (legal notice, privacy policy and data processing agreement) are only available in Spanish, which is the binding version.
